Bonjour...
Stopped by the internet cafe again, to check email and the weather, and I thought I'd make a quick post....Everything is spectacular here, weather has been pretty good really, not too much rain this week. Next week looks prime, highs in the upper 30's to low 40's...perfect!!
I've been gone for about three weeks now, and damn I miss my guitars, I think I'm having withdrawls.....

Gotta run, back to the boulders....Au revoir!!

Well, I've had four straight days of good weather which means I had four straight days of climbing on the incredible blocs of Fontainebleau...I can't say enough about how magnificent the climbing is here, I have yet to be disappointed, every area has its classics, and the quiet ambiance of the forest is surreal...am I dreaming?
I haven't taken many pics recently due to all the climbing but here are a couple of shots of an amazing line at an area called Drei Zinnen, don't know the name or the grade (neither matter), all that matters is the quality of the climbing which is..... Superb!!
That's all for now, off to look for some more classic lines in the Forest of Fontainebleau.

A few more pics from around Fontainebleau and Ville St. Jacques.............

Okay, so I've had a two consecutive days of good weather and I have made the most out of it....climbing like a madman. I don't have many pictures of the forest/boulders, but here are a few, including a self portrait of me on one of my all time favorite boulder problems....forgot the name.....but it's SOOO GOOD!!!!
Just wanted to do a quick update, I have to go to the grocery store, which seems to always be an interesting, entertaining experience....
Take Care!!

Nothing much to say except no climbing the past couple of days. It rained here Monday and Tuesday, and today.....well, it snowed. It didn't really accumulate, a good thing, but it still snowed so no climbing..........Hopefully the weather will cooperate tomorrow.........hopefully.
That is all.
Au revoir!

FONTAINEBLEAU!!!!
Well, I am here and it's everything I remember. The climbing is superb (no photos as of yet), to0 busy climbing. Spent the first day at Bas Cuvier and the second at Franchard Isatis. Both are fantastique, lots to do.
The first two days I had brilliant weather, sunny, w/ highs in the low 40's.....and today, well, rain
which is okay because I have no other option but to rest. So here I sit in a internet cafe in town.....the only pictures I have to update are of my gite, in Ville St. Jacques, about 20km south of Font. It's a very small, quiet, town/village with narrow streets, barely wide enough for two cars, very different from the hustle and bustle of Paris but I'm getting used to it.
Ah, driving over here is very interesting, the roundabouts are fun, to say the least....
Anyways, here are a couple of pics of my gite, my car, and Ville St. Jacques. I hope to climb again tomorrow, but if it rains, which it looks like it might, I will update with more pics. After all, if I am not climbing, I will be taking photos...or sleeping.
Au revoir

And now, time for some more people/candid shots, also with my amazing new lens. While this type of photography has always intrigued me, I had never really done it....So, I have come to really enjoy it over the past six days. It's a very interesting process to REALLY pay attention to what people are doing at a specific moment or even a short period of time, in a particular environment that is, and to see/notice the dynamic between the two...then, being quick enough to capture it.....but I guess that's what it's all about.
I'm off to Fontainebleau tomorrow so this may be my last post for a couple of days due to the fact that I will be in paradise.......Au revoir

As promised, here are some more shots with the new lens....

I GOT A NEW LENS!!!!! Here are a couple of shots taken with it. After finding and buying my my new telephoto, 80-200mm f/2.8 for those who know, I only had about an hour of light to work with, so.....my new lens will definitely be getting a workout tomorrow. So...expect LOTS of pics tomorrow, my last day in Paris before I'm off to FONTAINEBLEAU BABY!!!!!
Anyways, hope everyone is doing well at home!!!
Au revoir!!
