Ben, the winner of Chalky Dreams 09 (pfft), eating his usual PB&J. He was done so early I didn't get many shots of him climbing...oh well, I don't care.

Good Job Benito.
Andy, the New Yorker, starting* the "send-train" on Serenity Now.

*Actually, Ben started it and like 4 hours hours earlier but whatever.

Good effort though.
Brooks climbs like a sloth.

Crushed it like a grape.
Ronnie, getting it done.

Good times.

My two little film cameras I have been shooting a lot with recently.

Classic cameras, for sure! They're a lot of fun to shoot with too.
Just need to learn how to develop my own film now.......

FILM!

So today I finally got the chance to shoot with my newest camera, an Olympus XA, a rangefinder-type of camera (film of course) and I'm psyched with the results. The camera was one my Dad's old cameras, "back in the day." I recently found it stashed away in a box.

I bought some expired B&W film for cheap to take some test shots....slightly funky hue going on in two of the shots, the trees and Dave's "portrait" but I'll take it....in fact I kind of like the look. Definitely like the B&W shots from the not expired film. PSYCHED for some "street" photos with this setup.

Also got some 800 speed color film to test out shooting climbing.....it worked, pretty well too.
Ahhhh, gotta love film. Definitely (re)inspired!

(all of these shots are straight from Walgreens photo-cd)

Word

I anticipate I'll be shooting a lot more film from here on out, especially since I have so many old, classic films cameras laying around. So much fun shooting film. And I still personally prefer the look of film, especially the grain....and especially grain in b&w. It's sharper too.

Some shots from a nice afternoon session at the Bfields.

So, Dean's phone is pretty sweet, especially the camera and its ability to use flash (of sorts)...it's also got some sort of focus-assist light thing...whatever, anyways, after I saw him taking a picture similar to the first one below, I just had to take some "portraits" using the light/flash thingamajig from his phone.

Good times. Good crew.
Pretty much the only color images of the day, enjoying black&white more these days, although the candies and red pants/graffiti probably work better in color. or something. whatever.

Shots from today of the "old school" crew working a bit of a funky traverse at the BFields.

Good times.

Choosing 20-30 pictures for a school application/portfolio has become quite a chore to say the least. I think my eyes are about to bleed. I hope i pick the "right" ones, or at least the ones that will get me into the school.
I feel like I'm definitely ready to go, ready to get out of here for awhile..

Raja!

Yes, ANOTHER multiple-exposure....deal with it.
